What steps do I take to remove water from my engine?
I know I had water in the gas tank. I cleaned the tank and filled with fresh fuel now the engine will run and then stop.

daveystoddard replace the plugs. Remove the float bowl from the carb and clean that and the needle valve. After that keep on running it, If it stalls try again. You can always squirt a bit of fuel into the carb to keep it running. There is not a lot of water left after you cleaned the carb etc. The rest of the water should burn off pretty quickly.
