black & white horizontal stripes at start up
my ram was loose & when I started it after correcting that, I get black & white stripes after the chime rings.
No apple icon appears
Loose connection ?

Test both the RAM and the slots by using one stick of RAM at a time in each of the slots. Restart after each change and see if it is a slot or the RAM.
