Desoldering micro switches on the logic board.Any easy methods?

Guys I have got an ipod classic when I press the menu button it doesn't work sometimes.

The thing is I have old logic board lying around. I thought I could desolder them and solder it back to my ipod classics board.

There are 4 contact points but I'm not able to find a way to desolder them

If any one did desolder them. Please help me out with it

Any response would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

That seems a job for an hot air station but if you don’t have experience on working in such a small scale chances of success may be fairly limited. If you feel like trying anyway, that should be the tool you need+flux+kapton tape to shield and protect parts you are not working on.

Arbaman is right about the small scale but it sounds like a good project if you have the right equipment. You should be able to remove and install these components with a hair dryer, quick chip smd removal kit, soldering iron,  Kapton tape and some solder. Just melt the low melt alloy into the solder joints with a soldering iron than use a hair dryer to remove the component. Just be careful if that button is rubber, Kapton tape will not protect it. Try and tape a small heatsink on top.  Just use an iron to resolder it on the board
