iPhone 6 dead after Tristar replacement

So my iPhone 6 went dead and wouldn’t charge up from red icon so I sent it to a micro soldering repair place. He had it running. A year after the repair one of my cheap chargers I think fried something either Tristar or Tigris. Because phone would charge up slowly and heat up considerably while charging probably due to cheap chargers. So I went ahead and opened up the iPhone and took out Tristar, the Tristar was recently replaced by the guy so I put a new one in there. The phone took a while to boot up but was running faster than before but wouldn’t charge. I tried heating it up a bit more to see if it was seated properly but it went dead after that. Any clues as to what’s going on here? I checked the multimeter and I’m getting no charge. It briefly had a reading when I replaced the Tristar but despite that wouldn’t hold a charge.

I know it may sound unsympathetic but the main clue here seems to be you have no experience in microsoldering. Replace or reball and try again, maybe you’ll be luckier next time. If not, check Tristar and Tigris power/data rails to get some clues..nobody can tell what’s wrong without testing.

@jesusfl As you might have noticed board repairs are tricky and every small mistake may turn out in a dead phone. When there are possible technical mistakes and unknown failures you understand it's hard or impossible to give guidance.

Last time I didn’t reball the Tristar, Tristar reball prior to installing?

tarafından

@jesusfl If it was used it surely needed to be reballed prior to install. A new one usually comes with solder balls already.

My guess is that the solder balls between the chip and board have been heated for too long causing a few balls to merge and short each other out.

Or possibly other components directly on the opposite side of the board have become dislodged from heating too long.

What temperature is being used on hot air station and how long was the chip heated for?
