iPhone 7 Bootloop after Screen Replacement

Good day everyone,

yesterday i changed my iPhone 7 battery and replaced the cracked screen with a new one (both parts are from iFixit).

Then suddenly after i assembled all the parts back togetheri realized that i forgot to change the home button. But the device was running fine (except from a missing home button)

I repeated every step and transfered the old home button to the new screen.

This time when trying to boot, the device gets stuck inside a bootloop (apple logo will light up for about 15 seconds, then it goes out)

With the old screen the home button is functioning (i tested it)

Is there any solution to that, since i am curret´ntly using my device without one.

The iPhone 7/8 series have a very inconvenient bend on the Home Button flex. It’s really easy to tear the flex, either near the logic board connector or at the 90 degree bend before it sneaks underneath the LCD heat shield.

The other area that is easily damaged is the connector on the Home Button itself and the opposite connector on the short flex that runs underneath the heat shield.

The long and short of it is that there are multiple failure points. You will need to carefully inspect the Home Button and flex to see if there is any damage. Magnification here will help.  Look for tears to the flex or any physical signs of damage. You should also check the connector to insure none of the pins are damage or that there isn’t any debris.
