Need help with mac, have pictures and videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgSzFENhn...

This video shows whats wrong with this mac, it only works like this when a battery is plugged in, if no battery, the magsafe doesnt go above the dim green color. It automatically turns on when you plug it in, flashes the screen then the backlight turns off. No battery = no computer use, but the computer wont run off the battery.

any ideas? thanks guys

Did you spill something on it?

i just received this computer like this, never seen an issue like this where it works for a split second and stops.

Being a computer doctor is a lot like a medical doctor. History is important, it can answer a lot of questions. Progression of the problem can be important. You can waste a lot of time by not asking questions. Call your customer and ask.

this one has a similar problem, it flashes (though the frame rate of the video missed the screen turning on for a split second), no chime or anything else, just turns on, turns off, then turns on with a screen flash. dont have to press any power button to get it to turn on at all, just plug it in.

I have no idea of why you posted that dimly lit video. Since you have two Books (hopefully they are the same) you can switch parts to try to discern what's wrong. The power problems could involve the MagSafe adapter, the DC IN board, the logic board and the battery connector, or all the above. Without a history theres just no way to know where to start. I would have to tear it down and test out each part in a known working machine to try to find out what doesn't work. On the other hand a SMC and PRAM reset could solve the problem. I usually know what the problem is (or what the recall is) when I buy a machine for parts prices. You're asking for a lot of headaches doing it your way.

i posted it dimly lit so you could see the screen light up then turn back off, which didnt happen in the video but did in real life, the frame rate of the video is likely to slow to catch it.

both computers are basically sitting in 2 piles of parts, there is something at the logic board level wrong with them. just cant figure out what! which is why i posted it here, i didnt know if anyone here knew the reason macbooks would flip on automatically after plugging the magsafe in.

its like a little mystery getting macbooks in when i dont know the problem :)
