Device all of a sudden won't connect to cellular network?

I went through all of the troubleshooting with my phone service provider, they said it must be something with the device itself, and to contact Motorola. When I contacted Motorola they just said that my warranty was expired and I have to go to third-party repair. What could be wrong with my device? Is there anything I can try before taking it to be repaired? Thank you

Outdated Software

Make sure the system is up to date with the latest firmware and latest software. If this is out of date, it can cause connection issues because it is not the newest version. To check is the system is up to date, go to Settings>About Phone> System Updates.

And have you tried booting into Safe Mode (also taken from that same page):

To do this, hold the Power Key until Power Off shows up. Then tap OK when it asks for Reboot To Safe Mode. If you have no flicker when restarting then it is most likely because of an app you installed and you should try uninstalling them one by one.

Are you saying to check if it connects to the network in safe mode? Because it doesn't

First, check that mobile data is turned on and you have a data connection.

  3. Check that there is a data indicator (for example, 2G, 3G, 4G, H) next to the signal strength bars at the top of the screen .
