Why is my sound coming out weird both from speaker and headphone jack?

I was trying to clean the edges of my touch screen and maybe pushed down on it a bit too hard. Now my sound is mostly ok, but certain parts of some sings will make a static like noise, and my speakers also now emit a very faint static noise that’s only heard when holding it up to my ear. When I wear headphones, i get the same weird noises in certain parts of songs and the same static noise. I get the static noise from my speakers even when my sound is completely off. There is also a small click from the speakers when i turn my game on, after which the static starts. This happens regardless of my volume level. How can I fix this? I suspect I may have loosened a wire when pushing on the touchscreen but I am unsure which wire controls sound.

It seems from your description that you hear this static noise even when the volume is turned completely off which to me could imply that you are getting some kind of electrical discharge, like for example, jumping across from a component to ground shielding or a piece of metal. If have the unit opened up in a dark room, that effect should be readily apparent and the source identified.

If only hearing it when there is some level of sound volume applied that would probably point to electrical noise/interference being injected into the audio circuitry. In either case though, as a first step in isolating the problem, after powering up the unit and once the noise is apparent, use a non-conductive tool, such as a plastic spudger, to move wires or components and prod cold/cracked solder joints to see if the sound is eliminated or gets worse. If the offending component is found and the situation rectified (ie securing loose wires or connectors etc), then all well and good; if not you will have to used additional troubleshooting methods (for example, signal tracer, oscilloscope, multimeter) to track down the problem.

Thank you, my only problem is that the game is designed in a way that I cannot turn it on when the back is open, so should i just pull out and reattach all the wires?

Also when i plug my headphones in I do not hear the static from the 3DS speakers anymore, nor do I hear it from the headphones, thought I do get some weird static like noises in certain parts of songs, the same as I get when I do not have my headphones plugged in
