if the suggestions from mayer did not help diagnose the problem, there is a small test that could help you determine if something is wrong with your display or something else is wrong. If you have an external monitor hanging around try connecting-it to your laptop and see if you get to display on the external monitor. your powerbook should detect the external monitor.

Can you tell if the power is on? Did it tone on start up? On that model the F10 key raises the brightness, try that if you think the computer is on. The brightness may have gotten turned all the way down.

My power book G4 also no sound, black screen and cannot connecting the display on the external monitor, what can i do and what parts having problem, please help
