My track pad doesn't work and my laptop will not detect it

I've tried everything except for a tare down and rebuild ive gone into devise manager and it doesn't even show up as a device iv gone into settings/devices/mouse/ additional mouse options and again it doesn’t show up so I can’t uninstall and then reintsall drivers.
