Keyboard and trackpad no longer working on mb a1502 after water spill

Hi All!

About a year ago I unfortunately spilled some water on my macbook (early 2015 a1502). I let it dry out and the laptop came back to life but the trackpad and keyboard would stop working about 2-5 min after logging in. Anways I put it aside and used my imac/ipad instead. But now I would like to use a laptop again and hope to revive the keyboard and trackpad of the laptop.

What is strange to me is the fact the keyboard and trackpad work the way they should untill well they no longer do. This is usually 1-2 min after logging in. So I’m not really sure whether it’s a SW or HW problem. But there’s of course the spillage of water on the laptop so I’ve opened up the computer and saw some corrosion near the trackpad. Just a little bit. I know just a bit of corrosion can mess up the entire system but I tried to clean it up with isopropanol and also changed the trackpad cable, just to be sure. I’ve also tried to reset PRAM/NVRAM, SMC, reinstall the OS and some other “solutions” like with the capslock or 5xoption key. Nothing seems to work.

Does any of you have advice for me on what to try next? Or is my laptop just dead?
