Hello,
I am looking for a replacement used base stand for my 27 inch 2015 iMac. Will the stand (and hinge mechanism) any 21-inch iMac of similar vintage (late 2012 onwards) fit/be a just-slot-in-replacement?

Replacing the foot is a bit involved as you need to take the logic board out to get to the screws!
iMac 27" Retina 5K Leg/Stand (14/M15) Apple P/N 923-00083 (used).
If the screen is tilting down on its own then the balance springs have failed you’ll need a new hinge assembly and you need to correct one.

The original stand was badly damaged/twisted/scratched at the bottom part. Thinking of buying a used whole stand, including the hinge. One 21 inch iMac stand listed at eBay is much cheaper than the 27 inch ones...
Will this 21inch iMac stand fits?
They are very different! The 27” is a bit taller and the 21.5” stand will hold the system too low.
