Overriding the 44" printing limit?
As far as i can tell, the printer software is the only block to printing longer than 44” on the Artisan 1430. Is there any way to bypass this constraint?

When you say “printer software” are you referring to the printer driver which shows you the various settings in the standard print dialogs or some add-on software you are using to do some particular document or poster design? Most drivers allow you to override any preset page sizes and use custom page sizes.

Yes, I am referring to the printer driver that came with the printer. I can input any length, but when I hit the “enter” button, the setting always reverts to 44”.

Have you got the latest drivers, appropriate to your OS installed?
Click on the link to the appropriate OS and then verify whether your installed driver version is the same or older.
Sometimes drivers that come with the product may be out of date before the product is actually sold (e.g. how long was it in the warehouse waiting to be sold?) and updated drivers may have been released to overcome reported problems or to enhance the product.
Worth a look anyway.

Thanks! Yes, all my drivers are updated, but I'm still hitting that 44" wall when it comes to setting a user-defined length.
