iPhone 6s fell into water and is not turning on

Okay so yesterday i dropped my phone in water at approximately 7 pm or so. I took it out immediately, shook the phone so the remaining water would come out of the phone, dryed it with towel and put it in a warm place somewhere safe, i called my grandfather and he told me to wait for a couple of hours like 48 or so or even couple of days. Its been almost 24 hours and i tried to turn it on but didnt charge i pressed power on/off button as well as home button at the same time and after couple of seconds apple logo showed up but immediately disappeared. I am pretty sure that the battery is low so it needs some time to charge and turn on but is there still a chance that it will work again?
