Can paper slip through gaps in trackpad?

Could a small thin piece of paper (say, 1mm x 2mm) fit through the crack or gap on the side of the Macbook Air 11" trackpad? And if so, is it likely to cause any damage or harm in the short or long term (e.g. through causing something to overheat)?

Re Paper thickness- it's inkjet printer photo paper with a matte finish. That is, it's slightly thicker than normal paper. The size of the paper would literally be equivalent to two or three short hair strands (like an eyelash) but like I mentioned, I'm just wondering if this is something worth taking to the Genius Bar to ask them to open it up and clean it, or if I should just leave it be.

It's a gamble at this point. Like ABCellars and I said it likely wont cause over heating or shorting but my fear still remains in it possibly jamming the fan (although the odds of that are very slim). It's up to you on this one. Might be a good idea if you have bad luck :)

I could imagine that a very thin piece of paper could find its way between the cracks. It causing damage by resting on something I imagine is slim. The paper wont catch fire (having an autoignition temperature well in excess of a computers operational limits). Arcing to the paper I think is unlikely if not impossible given that it will always be in contact with some part of the computer to maintain charge balance. In addition paper is non-conductive so it will not cause a short anywhere.

The only thing I can personally think of is that the paper may migrate it's way to your fan and jam the fan which could easily cause a chain reaction of what I would call bad things.
