Black Display on the iPad after drop

Hello, I have the iPad (1) 3G+wi-fi. It got dropped unfortunately.

The screen has no scratch but when I turn on the device, back light comes on but the display is black! Black all over even when u know the backlight is on.

When connected to my laptop, the device is detected, everything iTunes should display is displayed on the laptop but the screen remains black

Can I get help on what to do asap? This is already depressing
