No power no green light no reaction at all

So I had this ps3 super slim for ages under my bed cause I forgot about it! I remembered it I intendo to fix it!

It has no power, no red led, no beep, no nothing.

Is there a way to bridge pins on the power button ribbon on the Mother board to se if it turns on?

How do I check if the PSU is faulty?

What else can it be?

Currently it has no HDD but I have a 160Gb ones laying around from dead Ps3 slims.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Affraid that the power supply is broken, and it won’t work unless you fix the power supply or replace it with a know working power supply. I would not bridge it, I would test the easy things first before you go further.

Hey there! I have seen many posts that replaced the PSU and the problem persisted, how can I test the current PSU to see it it's faulty? Is there any point on the board I can test to see if it is a problem with motherboard?

Hi! Do you have the type of the power supply? Not sure which pins, I always test with another power supply, sry! But you can follow some video's, example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFizzmll...

But I'm almost sure that some people here know which pins you need to test on.

ADP-160AR is the psu model, SO I tore down the ps3 to the bone, cleaned it it had a dead bug, now it turns on light stays green, no image, no disk read, then after a minute it turns off to no light. I can turn it on again and the same happens.

I have tried entering safe mode, I have tried resetting the video signal none worked

Hmm.. Yea, I’ve seen this before. Could be multiple things. From CPU/GPU reflow to fuses on the motherboard. Not sure if it’s still PSU related (you could test it if you want to be sure).. you need to meassure multiple components, just to be sure.
