iPhone not turning on after battery replacement.

This turned out to be more difficult and stressful than I thought it would be. I had a swollen battery which, until I attepted to fix it, was still working, abiet a bit wonkey. I bought the battery replacment kit. When I tried to follow the instructions, I ended up confused. The suction cup appeared to put the glass away from the LCD display, which is now scratched. I scratched it while trying to use the plastic tools to get the clips apart. They were useless. When I consulted a JerryRigEverything video from 2013, I used a razor and it came apart like it should. The swollen battery took a bit of a pull to get it out. I don’t think I damaged any of the ribbon cables. The small plastic bit around the camera kept falling out. I think I got it back in there. But now, when I plug it back in. Nothing. Dead. I will try the whole thing again at some point, but I wonder if I haven’t damaged something and I’m not sure how to diagnose. It could be the charge cable. I’m not sure. Any thouhgts on the next step? I’m going to plug it into the computer. I may try ripping it out and putting it back togther again, in case it isn’t connected as well as I think it is.

You could’ve damaged the screen in the process, resulting in no image when you power it on. Does it vibrate at all when you flip the mute switch or does it chime when you plug it in? What tool did you use to disconnect the battery and I know you said you purchased a replacement kit, but from where?

If you didn’t rip and flex cables you might have a bad battery or do a restore and update though ITunes

Thank you.  So, I have tried different charge cables.  I have tried the procedure twice.  There is no activity from the phone when I plug it in and turn on the power button.  There is no sound or vibration.  I plugged it into the computer via cable, and the computer didn’t see that it was there.  At the moment it appears to be dead.  I purchased the ifixit tools which were specifically for this procedure.  I used the spudger to remove the battery.  It was difficult because the old battery was swollen (although it was working).  I haven’t seen any obvious damage to the cables.  If I could get my hands on a more specific diagram and naming of the parts, it would help (I haven't found one yet).  I am willing to get more parts to try and fixit, but I’m not sure where to begin.

I suggest putting it in restore mode and seeing if your computer recognizes the phone other then that replace the screen and the what it do
