Go back and grab your phone out of his hands! Find someone will some real skills.

Bluetooth and WiFi chips don’t need programing or firmware them selves. Your phone’s OS (iOS here) manages all of this as well as your input. Just like a computer you join a WiFi network (AP) that is the only programing you do within your phones iOS and with Bluetooth you allow a wireless headphones to connect to your phone through a process.

When you go to the WiFi Settings do you see any AP’s listed with signal levels shown? If you do then your phone is fine its just not setup for the AP you wanted.

@danj The phone has been reset and is on the welcome screen ready to be setup. But when you get to the WiFi section it don’t search for any networks.

@rakeshkay - Do you have another phone or PC which is able to access your WiFi AP you are trying to connect to?

Also what happened to your phone? Did you drop it or get it wet? It's starting to sound like your WiFi front end has failed. That would require a new chip (not programing)

Yes everything else in my house can connect properly to my WiFi. It purchased it second hand there’s no sign of water damage.

Front end WiFi chip is that what it’s called

@rakeshkay - Time to find someone with the micro-soldering skills and access to the part. This is not something you can fix your self ;-{

Here's an image of the logic board and the chip is marked in Orange Universal Scientific Industrial 339S00043 Wi-Fi Module

The person should also check the WiFi antenna connections as well as the antennas.

If your phone got wet then it may need more than just a new chip.
