New 2020 model: what’s upgradable?
I am waiting delivery of 2020 August upgraded iMac.
Do we know yet what parts are upgradable.
I’m wanting to upgrade RAM and SSD.

Hold your horses! I wouldn’t be to quick here. So far its not looking that good from expandability! ;-{
Until the world renowned iFixit team! Has had a chance to tear into one we just don’t know!

It looks like the RAM in the 2020 27” iMacs is still upgradable. The 21.5 iMacs have not been upgradable since 2012. External SSDs are much more affordable these days, so you might want to consider that. I have a 2015 27” iMac with a 4.0 GHz i7, 32 GB RAM, and a 512 GB internal SSD, and I have 6 TB in spinning rust foam-taped to the back of the arm.

Ram is upgradable but the ssd is soldered, CPU is still socketed not soldered.
