Steven P. Jobs died
, the visionary co-founder of Apple who helped usher in the era of personal computers and then led a cultural transformation in the way music, movies and mobile communications were experienced in the digital age, died Wednesday. He was 56. " Source
I do know that this is not a question, but I felt that this was the quickest way to inform this community about a phenomenal loss. Some of us on here still remember having worked with Apple II bout the same time as the TRS-80 and the Commodore and the change that these inventions brought to all of us. Anybody remember having gone to the store and written the first programs like this
10 CLS
20 PRINT “HELLO WORLD”
30 GOTO 20
It is a good time to reflect and may this great person rest in peace. Thank you Steve Jobs.
I will of course delete this as a question and do apologize for using it as a quick notification

I know, but some weisenheimer is going to bellyache that this is not a repair related question. I just felt that Steve Jobs is a true Man of destiny, and there have not been to many of them in my lifetime, a true American Icon.

There is no right or wrong answer to this, so I accepted the one that put most of our sentiments it all into a few sentences. Thank you all...

R.I.P. Steve. Apple will never be the same without him. He was Apple. He started it, he created it, and he was the man who made the home computer.

Hi @pccheese
George, you're up too late. Is that why you are commenting on a 5 year old post?
Also Steve Wozniak had a bit to do with it as well, as far as Apple was concerned.
