Topher Linn who and where detected the moisture? I assume you are getting the "Moisture Detected” error from your tablet. Seems to be a common occurrence and treat it the same way as the other Tab S models. Here are a few simple things you want to start out with.

  1. Turn Galaxy Tab immediately off - just because it says that “moisture is detected in the charger port” doesn’t mean that water hasn’t got into the phone. It may have already reached some of the circuits and that’s the reason why you should immediately turn the device off to prevent further damage to the circuits. Electric components and water don’t mix well and if there’s current flowing the CPU and the motherboard.
  2. Clean the charger port – this is to address the error literally even if there’s a possibility that water have entered the device already but since we don’t know that yet, you should take time making sure there’s no moisture in port. You may insert a small piece of tissue paper into the port and leave it there for a few minutes so it can absorb the moisture. Do not blow into the port or use any heat blower to vaporize the moist as it may enter the device instead of going out.
  3. Clean the cable – you must also make sure that the cable is dry on both ends as it’s possible that it’s the one that got in contact with water and not the tablet itself. You may use the same method you used in cleaning the charger port. But the good thing with the cable is that you can blow the moist and dirt out using your mouth or a can of compressed air.
  4. Charge the tablet while it’s powered off – if the Galaxy Tab has moisture in the port and you charge it while it’s powered on, you will get the ‘moisture detected’ error but if try charging it while it’s off with the moist still present, it won’t charge. So, one way to find out if there’s still moist or not is to charge it while it’s powered off and if it does charge, then you can rest assured that the port as well as the cable are not wet anymore. In this case, you may now turn the device and and continue charging. from here
  5. Should none of this work then you will have to dig a lot deeper to get to the port etc.
