My sound has stopped working, is it possible to replace speaker?

Looking at the teardown, it appears that the speaker is a fully standalone part that can be replaced. However ifixit does not sell any parts for it nor is it certain that the speaker is the actual issue.

I have the Same problem. Actually worse, mine also stopped vibrating altogether. The vibration wasn’t steadily working from the beginning on I therefore started using the sound to catch my notifications. Then around two weeks ago circa the sound also stopped. I m not sure if around that time I did software update…
