Wifi Not Working After Battery Replacement MBP 13 Retina E2015

The procedure to replace the battery went very well; battery works, laptop powered on, keyboard, mouse, trackpad working ok, except now the wifi is not working. It wont connect to any available network. In fact the icon looks like it is deactivated.

I was very careful during battery replacement so I believe I did not touch the wifi card, if anything, I was worried about the trackpad card because it is beside the battery and the adhesive is so tough to take out.

Thank you for anyone who can shed some light.

Congrats on the successful replacement! When you go to System Preferences -> Network, does Wi-Fi show up as an available network?

It was but even if I switch to [ON] it did not turn on. So I searched the internet and found this advice to: make inactive, –, apply... supposed

to reset after reboot, but it did not and I still have no wifi.... and the WIFI is not in the Network

Option anymore

@wanderlass you need to restart the mac, and hold down D. Run the diagnostics and report back here please.

@danj will then provide you more info based on your error reporting.

@duncapp I have the same problem. I ran the diagnostics and I have error code PPP007 and PPP02 and CNW001

@plantdept please do comment if you are expeciencing the exact same problem as @wanderlass. However, I encourage you to open your own question so as to get the most replies that are relevant to your own problem.

But just for providing you help, your problem seems to be the wifi module and the power adapter and possibly the power module/board in the macbook.

@dunc thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, the wifi issue mysteriously fixed itself after 6 days (yesterday). I did not do anything special except restarting my computer every morning to check the Network to see if the Wifi option appears. That is because I read in 2 different threads that it happened to them.

I plugged my iPhone into the MacBook for 6 days to use the internet. I in fact went and got myself a wifi dongle but the wifi reappeared before I'm able to make it work. The wifi dongle needed a driver installed for Macbook vs plug and play for Windows.">Another guy resorted to using a wifi dongle, and after a few months, his wifi worked again.</a>

@Wanderlass Travels Glad it all came back to work for you. Come back here if you continue to experience problems. *DO* try to run the diagnostics as I suggested, this way if you get no error codes, you can be sure all is good.

Ah! I think you have a simple problem! Open your WiFi settings make sure your primary access point is first listed, then your second choice (i.e. home & work) delete all of the others you don’t need. That should do it.

Hey everyone. My retina got it's battery replaced today and BOTH Bluetooth WiFi are bust. Says no Bluetooth hardware module and WiFi simply does not connect and shows 0.0.000?000 max address ??
