How to replace Patagonia blackhole backpack mesh side pockets

nothing too crazy done with this backpack…just everyday stuff over the last 2 or 3 years. Wondering if anyone has any ideas for replacing the side pocket mesh? The ideas I am seeing right now are based around using a type of tent repair tape…doesnt look overly effective. I was thinking of cutting out the stretched / holey areas and resewing the mesh.
