Why can't I get a picture through the lens?
I can’t get a picture from the lens. I just get static through the viewfinder, but the lens looks in good but I could be wrong. I opened the camera up and their was no obvious damage on the mother board or the lens assembly. it records fine (except video it just records static. ) and playback work’s. if someone known’s how I could fix this please let me know. ( if you need more details just say)

@Michael C your camcorder is a RCA CC310 and what have you checked?

Camera works 99% and even records audio. It does not show or record video. The camera does show picture through view finder when playing a prerecorded video.
