Is LCD Glass Cover Replacement Possible

I was thinking about buying a HP touchpad with a damaged glass cover ( the plastic or glass cover for the LCD screen)...... the LCD screen is undamaged and the touchpad works fine, just has a fairly nasty crack in the glass or plastic casing that covers the LCD screen.......

i have not been able to find replacement parts for this product anywhere..... i know it is discontinued, I thought i would ask anyway or is the only way to get parts for this threw HP direct if they even have them?
