iPhone not recognised by computer

Hi Guys,

first question on here, sorry if its a stupid one.

I have recently refurbed an iPhone 7 with a new rear housing and screen. Before the swap i had to plug in the device and DFU and Factory reset and that all worked fine.

The Rear Case I purchased was one with small parts included (Speaker, Port, Flex Cables etc)

After finishing it and putting it all back together, the phone is working fine I ran a diagnostics app which tested everything, and it all seems fine. It charges fine etc. But now it is not being recognised by the computer when i plug it in.

I did note that the new Taptic engine didnt work so i put the old one in and it was fine. Im wondering if this could be another faulty part in case ? or if its something else or board level ?

Any info or advice would be great.

Notes: Ive tried all the usual stuff, swap Lighting cables, swap ports, try on 2 computers.

Are you using a Mac or PC when you connect the iPhone 7? If a PC, does the computer itself seem to detect you've connected a device? As in, if you have Device Manager open and you connect the iPhone, does the list of connected devices refresh? Does iTunes detect the phone in Recovery or DFU mode? Have you tried installing the latest version of iTunes? Does 3UTools also not detect it?

No I’m using a Mac, I tried going into DFU mode and the Mac still doesn’t recognise it. And I’ve done all the updates and latest version of iTunes.

Haven’t tried 3UTools ? What can I do with this. I’m a bit new to this.

If you've ensured that all of the software is up to date, you've tried multiple cables, changed out the dock flex connector with a new one and none of these things seem to change anything, I'd honest look at Tristar being faulty. If you're skilled for microsoldering, that would be my next move.
