How to align small metal bracket

What I really need to know is how do you align this small metal bracket when placing it on the adhesive back of the glas lcd/digitizer?

The bracket has a few small tabs that must line up with particular spaces in the case for the entire glass screen to line up and close. I know there are lines scribed onto the back of the lcd/digitizer assembly, but since my daughter's old glass was shattered in this area, I could not see how they lined up with the bracket.

The tolerances are so tight in the iTouch that I am being cautious - asking before blindly trying.

The bracket has a small hole for the proximity sensor (I think). Take a look at http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/lftXc...

Just fix that centered under the hole on the bracket and line up the rest with the edge of the glass. If I heat up the old glass I can often remove the bracket with the adhesive and reuse it. Just push it firmly down when you have aligned it and hold in place until it seats. Be careful so you don't bend the bracket. It must be perfectly plane.
