Lower battery connector overheating upon battery replacement
I recently had an iphone 11 pro max heat up and go dead on me. Guessing it was the battery, i replaced it, and immediately upon plugging in the new lower battery cable (into the power distribution board thingy near the lightning connector) that plug began to get very hot, to the point of burning my finger within a few seconds. I unplugged it and, through process of elimination, tried disconnecting every other component from the lightning connector. Each time the battery cable still got hot. I tried cleaning out the battery connector and the charge port with alcohol and compressed air to no avail. I have also had issue with the lightning port intermittently not charging before. I am thinking that I have a short somewhere in the lightning port or the greater component including that port, but I wanted to ask: is there any world where that behavior is normal upon pluggin in a new battery? Is it possible that replacing the lightning port may not fix my issue? Thanks in advance.
