Hi,
I’m not too familiar with the retail side of parts, only wholesell. But I think ifixit has a good warranty policy.
Note: If you want to keep the touch ID function you will need to transfer the original home button to the new digitizer.
Many iPas 6 digi will not include a home button because of this.

So what if I don't want or use the touch ID function (children's ipad) can I use the home button that came already installed on the new digitizer. My grandson uses a passcode to open has ipad not touch ID.

Piggy backing on the previous answer. iFixit is generally my go to recommend for for a person trying to fix their own stuff, for a multitude of reasons. That being said. The digitizer from iFixit, as well as the vast majority of those available for purchase (including my go to recommendation for businesses) will not come with a new home button.
Transferring the home button is a fairly straight forward process if you’re already doing the digitizer. But if it is damaged, you would also need to purchase and install a new home button. Just no Touch ID.
