battery replacement by myself

Hi!

I bought a battery in a phonestore, yes not original apple one, made the replacement and look at what 3utools says of it :

So, the battery seems very okke….but I have to charge it each day even if the phone is off all night long and my day use is very little…What can I do for recovering the real capacities of this battery?

Making the replacement I torn a very little bit of the black flex connecting the BMS and the motherboard, I would say 1mm long. I recovered this little part, which have become gold coloured, with a little bit of “isolier band” thinking that would make the trick… But now, after reading your message, I think probably this is the cause of the too fast discharge of the battery…Do you think like me tojaert?

Looks like your new battery is ok. Corresponds to the phone driver and everything seems to be ok. Unfortunately, the fact that this phone is charging every day draws attention to something wrong. This battery with such parameters should last for about 4 days, otherwise it indicates an internal short circuit in the installation. Another matter is where the short circuit is located. A few informations would be to describe the recent suspicious cases in the life of this phone, I assume there were it a few. If you are not into microelectronics, you should use a good repair shop. Diagnosis and finding of abnormalities should not take more than a few moments in good hands and the cost should not exceed a maximum of $ 20. The cost of the repair is another matter - it depends on the location of the damage, as well as the skill and willingness of the repair shop.

However, he does not underestimate the problem. In a few weeks, the battery will begin to swell and push the screen upwards - possibly leading to a crack. Either way, you will need another new battery over time if you don't fix the fault.

Deficiencies will have to be filled for the whole system to work properly). I don't think that's the reason for your problem. In proof of this, the technician would plug in a new battery and nothing would change. In fact, you need to connect an external power source and a multimeter to the motherboard. The numbers will show the current and prove my thesis.

my advice, take it to the workshop, someone will connect it for you and you will see yourself. The cost of such fun should not be high. In my workshop, in Warsaw, I would do such things for someone for free (if only out of curiosity), but the world is diferrent.
