Sony Bravia KD-55X9000E Thick Horizontal Green and Pink Bands

I’d purchased Sony Bravia KD-55X9000E, April 2018 here in India, Last week while watching youtube picture froze but sound could be heard. So, I restarted the TV only to be presented with horizontal thick green and pink bands across the television. Rebooted, restarted, switched off taking power connector off for several minute., nothing worked.

Contacted Sony authorized service center, the service guy came in took out the back cover and told me that either problem with LCD panel or T Con board. (Weird enough, the Sony guy was more interested in scratching off the QR code on each part, SOP as per company he said.)

He said even if T-con board is gone, have to change LCD + T Con board as company does not sell standalone T-con board (so much for environmentally caring company). The estimated cost was too steep approx INR 39,000, so took an opinion from third party technician, he however said that the problem is with the mainboard of the television. I looked on the internet for definite answers but in most of the cases, the owners gone for new TV or saying the problem was with both T-con and mainboard. Can expert from this community guide as what could be the solution?
