Is this a logic board problem?

Hi, ive been having problems with my iPhone 7. It's been having problems with connecting the lightning cable, and battery has been going flat quicky. I can always get it to charge by pulling out the cable, putting it back in, flipping it etc, and it will always work well with a new cable, but somehow I seem to go through a lot of cables quite quickly. They wear out or something.

Naturally, I thought the fix was that I need a new battery and charger port assembly, but before buying the parts, I have opened the phone, and there looks like there has been heat damage or something to the logic board. I was hoping the good people here would look at the photos and be able to tell me if it's a logic board problem or if it's the battery and charger port. Maybe it's a combination...

Anyways, here's the photos.

Thanks for any help. I figure if it's not the logic board, it's worth attempting a fix.

Could you take a look at your battery again, does it appear to be bulging at all?

If the board looks like that when you open it the first time, someone else has been messing with it.

Judging by the amount of dirt inside a supposedly water resistant phone, someone definitely messed with it before you own it.

The damage on the cable is unlikely to be caused by the board, it looks like corrosion caused by moisture.

Thanks for the answer. I had the screen replaced a while ago.

Do you think the apparent damage to the logic board is water damage?

Can't really comment on the corrosion, I don't really know. but the damage seems to happen to certain pins and not the whole cable head

Have you tried cleaning your charging port with a sewing needle?

You will be surprised by the amount of dirt in there!

As for the battery draining ,the iPhone 7 series is getting to a age where there battery’s are going to need replaced

@Alexander There is no apparent board damage other than the torn graphite sheet. You can't see most of the board damage unless it is major mechanical damage.

For the cable pin damage. Moisture and electricity combined is required to produce such damage. Only those pins have electricity therefore only they are damaged.
