MacBook Pro not finding any bluetooth devices

Hi,

I've started using my old Mac (booted to Monterey) again recently, and it seems to never find any bluetooth devices at all, and when occasionally it does, when I try to connect it to my mac, it says bluetooth connection rejected.

Any fixes for this? I've already tried a smc and pram reset, along with the command 'sudo pkill bluetoothd' in terminal, and tried to boot it up in safe mode which didn't work either.

Majority of the times I turn on my computer, my bluetooth even refuses to turn on, only by the command above in terminal can I force the bluetooth to turn on, and be discoverable.

This one is strange isn’t it:-)

Have you tried forgetting all your Bluetooth connections

Perhaps try reseating the connectors on the WiFi Bluetooth/airport card

Also does it still connect to WiFi as they share the same card in the machine

You may need to replace the card but we can try a couple more things first

Hello!

Thank you a lot for responding, but I've tried all of the things above and none seemed to work unfortunately. Currently I do not even have any bluetooth connections appearing as I had already reset the bluetooth module a while back, deleting the devices that were there.

You may need to replace it unfortunately

Do you get a WiFi signal?

Yeah I still receive the WiFi signal just fine, it’s just the Bluetooth I have a problem with. I think I might just get a new Mac since this one has a few other problems too along with the Bluetooth issue.

Might be another issue it has other issues

Maybe sell it for parts
