Won't read cards.
I can/have done a hard reset and reset my parameters but it will not read that there are any cards installed. I have tried all of the cards I have. It has a new battery and is charged.

Did you replace the battery? Open it up and check the card reader connector has been fitted properly.

I have checked and cleaned the contacts as much as possible. It just won't recognise that there are cards inserted.

I did all of that but it still won't read the cards.

@Jack Johnstone so opening it up and checking the card reader connector has been fitted properly did not resolve this? What exactly have you checked? take some good pictures of both sides of the board with your question. We might find something that may have been overlooked. Adding images to an existing question

This was kinda a dumb problem on my end. I figured out the DS does not register new game card in system unless you have it already in system before you turn it on. Putting this here just in case someone else has this issue.
