Wifi not working after battery replacement

I was successfully able to replace the battery in my MBP 13" E2015. It turned on, and I thought everything was good. However, I cannot connect to the wifi. Wifi as an option for connection doesn't even appear and the wifi icon in the menu bar has an exclamation point on it. I know that. my router and everything is ok because other computers I have connect just fine. When I try to run the diagnostics I just get a -1005F error.

I haven't fully finished calibrating the battery. I am looking for suggestions before I take it to a repair shop...

I ended up taking it to a repair shop and the io cable was damaged. I probably bent it too far back when I was trying to move it out of the way.

@osiala, When you did the replacement, did you use the iFixit battery guide? If so, is it possible that you got too close to the Wireless card in steps 11-13? There are some antenna cables and the card itself on the top left, so I’d start by taking off the back cover again and inspecting the card and the antenna connections.

Sometimes I even disconnect the antennas and take out the card, then put it back together even if I think I didn’t do nothing to it. Resetting SMC is another step after checking the card and it’s antennas.

I did follow the iFixit Guide. I did think maybe I messed up the wireless card, and so I took it apart but the connections still went together properly, though I suppose they still could be damaged (It's hard for me to see all the parts). I have tried resetting the SMC as well as deleting the network files in the system configuration and restarting the computer.

I now have exactly the same problem after having the battery replaced by a relative who had done a few of these repairs with no issues. Guess I’m just unlucky. Now considering replacing the WiFi board and or the tiny little cables and hope it solves it or just take it to a repair shop ! The battery works perfectly by the way, which is nice 🤨 Lord Elpus

Hi, the exact same issue happened to me as well. Turns out, mine was just a loose connection at step 8 of the ifixit guide. Just need to make sure all connections are solid.
