couldn't mount disk -69842 problems were found with the partition

Reinstalling Monterey, get error in title

“ problems were found with the partition which might prevent booting couldn't mount disk -69842 problems were found with the partition which might prevent booting

Couldn’t mount disk (-69842)”

When I go to terminal I see Whats in the posted image, seems each disk is a process or daemon.

Not sure how to repair properly.

Mmm … Looks like Apple altered the APFS file system still again! So the older flavor won’t lay on top. Looks like you’ll need to bootup on an external drive so you can do a complete wipe of the drive and fresh OS install.

I’ll give that a shot, I still have the last SSD in an external enclosure. I think I can boot from that still.

Thanks I’ll give it a shot.

Also I forgot to mention, I used open core on here for awhile running Ventura. It was okay and I got sidecar for awhile like I wanted but with the new security features it rendered it useless for me as it wasn’t supported. I choose security over everything else every time. That said tho I didn’t have any issues with it and I wiped and installed fresh drive so I wouldn’t think it had any current effect.

Okay, “And here I go again on my own

Going down the only road I've ever known!”

Sorry……. Popped into my head…..now it’s stuck, %#*@ white snake

@deleteduser - Boy you love pushing it! I think you went a bit to far with the Ventura! I would have stopped at Monterey if it’s your daily driver. Sure! It’s fun to push it it’s just something to do on a test system. As an example I have two matched 2015 15” MacBooks just to test stuff before I make the jump. But my needs are likely different than yours as I can’t afford to be in the field with a problematic system due to OS or App issues.

Yeah, You’re right, I did, but honestly I don’t think that was it. But I do experiment with it on the regular. For iffy downloads, testing software before I put on my new daily driver that apple sent, it was the new pro Max 14 inch. That’s the one I am going to use for video reviews and daily stuff like that. It’s a hobby but hopefully goes somewhere because since Covid too 90% of my family and left me a single father to an amazing 6 year old I wanna be able to do something from home.

That said I did what you said which was to obvious answer. I guess I was hoping for more of a deep dive type fix so I can learn more lol. But easy is good too lol.

It’s up and running, It’s being used to merge all my apple accounts so I can have just the one to worry about. Managed to get all the movie purchased moved over but I have yet to find a way to trick the system into accepting the software purchases from another account so I’ll have to use family sharing for that until I do.

Thanks a ton,
