Charger not detected, with or without battery.
Hi all, So I have had some water damage to this MacBook and I have since had the device on and booted into OS but not charge, The charger light never comes on (amber or green) and can confirm the charger is ok on another device. I have replaced the logic board, Magsafe connector and battery. I have removed the IO board and it appears to be fine. In it's current state the machine gets no chime or battery symbol when the power button is pressed. I have tried a few tips i.e. SMC and PRAM resets. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Dan,
the machine currently has a refurbished logic board which i can get a photo for but I have attached here the original board with the damage.
Bu iyi bir soru mu?
@xaviermaddern - You’ll need to take the logic board fully out as the other side is where the SMC and power control logic sits. Review Step19 in this MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Teardown that is where the damage will be. Post a few pictures so we can see the damage.

@xaviermaddern - Sorry I didn’t see your post sooner.
Well, if this is a bit confusing as you appear to have replaced all of the suspects! So what hasn’t changed and/or what part that was replaced was bad?
You stated your Charger works on a second system, you replaced the MagSafe 2 DC-in board which is the next part to the logic board for power. Between the charger and the logic board is a one wire comm link that allows the logic board talk to the charger and also sets the connectors charging LED to Amber or Green. The fact the LED is not lighting tells us either one of these parts is bad or there is a bad connection. Time to pull out the DVM to test the voltages!
