Could I temporarily put a SE screen on an 11 just long enough to verify my icloud?

you can't, the connectors are different, touch id wouldn't work, and the size is too small.
you could just buy a very cheap low quality iphone 11 screen, if all you need to do is verify it.
i would recommend looking on aliexpress

Instead of buying a cheep display from AliExpress they could buy one on eBay with cracked glass:-)
