My TV turns on and produces sound, but the screen remains completely dark. I have tried using a flashlight and can see images on the screen. Can you suggest any repair options?

@dynamo147 this "can see images on the screen" is a pretty good indication that your backlight LEDs have failed. The only way to fix that is by replacing those. Even so this is not exactly for the model you listed this video gives you a pretty good idea of what is involved. Let us know what exact model your TV is so we can double check.

@dynamo147 perfect. Looks like it uses 3 strips and those a readily available (and not to expensive) This is how you open your TV. For the actual replacement the link in my answer will pretty much work for your model as well.

Okay so the replacement from the other link should pretty much work, but are there other strips that would likely work better?
I can provide any other information if needed, I hear I may need to get some identifying information from inside the TV

- I have two TVs with the same problem so I'm probably stuck getting 2 of the 5 packs but I guess that gives me a 2nd try and spare parts in the almost worst-case scenario
