Brightness not working on control panel or keyboard?
My Mac is a relatively new 2020 model. I got it second-hand in 2022. I've never had an issue with it other than it being sort of slow- crazy right?? I'm pretty sure it's just slow cause I have a lot of EPUB files and book files on there but I'm not gonna get into that. Recently -by that I mean 5 minutes ago- I opened my Mac while I had a light on in my bedroom. Now, it's currently 1 am so it's dark outside. I couldn't really see my screen as well as I usually did and checked my brightness. It was at 100% already so I turned my light off to see it better. Now, I was curious as to why it seemed so dim so I was messing around with the brightness on the small interactive display on the top of my keyboard and it wasn't changing the brightness at all. Sure, the bar was moving but there was no difference in the display. I even went up to my control centre on my Mac to mess around with the brightness that way and nothing changed; once again, the bar was moving yet there was no change at all. I haven't dropped it, been rough with it and it looks brand new like always- I haven't even touched it today other than to take it out of its case this morning while cleaning up. My Keyboard brightness works just fine it is just my Macbook display and I'm so confused. How do I fix this? What even is the issue here? I will attach some images of it at 100% brightness, 50% and 0% -which is usually where the Mac goes black- yet mine stays on the same brightness.
