MacBook died completely after charger failure

My laptop is a 2014 MacBook Pro 15”, model A1398.

I was charging my laptop with some third-party cheap charger. While charging it overheated and burned down.

Now the laptop won’t boot and won’t charge even with the original charger.

All that happens is: one faint click from the logic board when connecting battery or MagSafe. No light on MagSafe. No signs of life at all. It happens all the same no matter what I try.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

- SMC Reset

- Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery

- Connecting MagSafe while the battery is disconnected

- SMC Reset while battery and MagSafe are disconnected

- Taking out the logic board entirely and putting it back

- Connecting MagSafe only to the logic board while it’s out

There is no visible damage, burnt smell, burnt chips on the logic board. It seems to be completely fine.

The only thing I can notice is that clicking noise. I can’t determine where it comes from and what’s the reason of it failing.

Did I miss anything? Is there something more that I can do here and what might be failing based on what happened?

P.S. I know that you shouldn’t use non-original chargers, but I went to a short trip, forgot my charger at home and needed a temporary solution.
