Change Samsung account Phone number
- Open any web browser in your mobile of PC.
- Navigate to Samsung Login Page.
- Login with your ID and password in Samsung Account. (yon can click forget password)
- Select My Account Info.
- Click on Profile option.
- Go to Samsung Account Settings.
- Select Phone Number ID.
- Provide new phone number, you want to associate with your Samsung account.
- Click on Change.
- Verify Phone Number using OTP sent on your new phone number.
You have all done and changed Samsung account phone number successfully. You can also refer the demo pictures given in the post above.

I can't change my new number
I have been trying for more than a year. Mostly gave up. First Verizon would not release my number. We switched to T-moble, now no matter what I do I can not get into my Samsung acccount. Probably would be easier to switch to Apple. I don't want to though maybe it is a process that just take years? WHAT EVER

Its all well and good if you aren't using an old Samsung account. The moment you find out you are, poof, no access. My bestie has an old model that uses the old account, new samsung won't verify at all. Can't get the text due to being UK number but new phone can get codes from other sources using same UK number. This is a flawed process. Make it hard for travellers if they a robbed
I agree, I can sign in but the code goes to my Dubai number which is not active, I have new number, but cannot update...sad sad sad

Lol Samsung is just lazy and suck.

Problem with this solution is.. As soon as you put your password, it goes only wants to send code to the old phone number. And there's no other option.
This is ridiculous.. They make it so you need to update the phone every 5-6 years, but no way to be able to change your new number in your account.
I had no choice but to get a new phone and number because Boost Mobile wouldn't port my number.. These companies really need to understand what happens when this simple change your number becomes harder than breaking into Fort Knox
It's also impossible to get to samsung support or chat without getting a code by text when you don't have that number any longer!!! It's absolutely maddening!! That means you can't use anything Samsung. The web, can't use it, share photos, nope can't be done or report a problem. I have to agree Samsung sucks. They're almost as bad as Google. It's no wonder they're in bed together!!
Samsung sucks! As soon as you change number your account is done. Can't use the same email address to set up a new account either. Samsung really needs to sort this basic problem with their system out. They seem to be too lazy to bother!

I resorted to use Chat with Support.. Took about two hours waiting on tech.. But the person was patient and polite.
I am now able to sign into Samsung account.
I didn't like waiting but by using chat, messaging doesn't disconnect..I went about my business and heard the notification sound and there he was..
So if anything, Be patient and use chat feature. Good luck everyone!

I also had this issue - I waited for hours to get a hold of someone for the third time (took almost 3 hours to talk to anyone every time) and they finally changed my phone number to confirm. That was all it took. I even had ordered a sim card to throw into my old phone, but updating my phone number to text saved me so much time. Yes, you need to be able to log in to do that, but they can certainly set it up for you. A bit of a nightmare to deal with for over a week, but it finally was resolved.

I called 855 795 0509 told them my the problem I was having and thank God it got taken care of.it only took no more than 20 mins.

I was having the same issue for days and going crazy. Thank you for the provided number. I just tried since digital assistant would not work for me. It only took me 5 mins or less. no wait time. I know you all probably went to the same site but this time with the representative on the line two step factor verification led me to receive a code via email instead of my old number. just in case here is the link account.samsung.com

Soo, I contacted customer service and was on a long time with bot. I feel I may have been able to resolve the issue 🤔 had I had enough time!
I did find my stolen phone and was able to resolve my issue more quickly since it was the one tied to the account and receiving pings from otherwise I would still be unable to get to the account.
The information below is ONLY for those able to gain access to the account.

Ohhh and I need google pay to pay for things for a baby shower today because I left my wallet at a friends house an hour away and im not going to be able to get it for a day or 2, but my card is still active and set up on my phone which WOULD enable me to set up and use Google pay if I wasn't having this issue... Tried calling the number that a few people gave on here and the bot tells me they are currently closed, said goodbye, and the call ended. You would think a company like samsung would have 24-7 customer support. Unbelieveable.

If you chat with customer support they send you a link via email without the two step verification wo you can log in and change your number, the link is good for only 30 minutes though

So when I had the same problem this is how I solved it. I went into my gmail account that is associated with my samsung account. Using the search method in gmail, I looked up an old email from samsung, using the filter to exclude any emails that had to do with promotional things. I quickly found an old email I used previously to reset the account months before. I clicked on the password reset button. It told me the link was expired but, it offered to send me a new link so I clicked on that choice. Within minutes I was resetting the pssword for the samsung account without needing either my old phone or the old phone number. It worked, I can now access that samsung account and update the phone number. I hope this helps.
