How to replace computer bottom case?

I have a thin crack situated around the middle screw on the bottom case of my computer. I am looking to buy a new bottom and would like to know ahead of time, what I would need to do to replace the cracked bottom.

Just take everything apart and put it back together with the new bottom case. Guide here.

Personally i don't think it's worth the trouble, since it's only a cosmetic damage and will reappear sooner or later anyway.
