No service after a small "repair", what gives?

I put my iPhone 3G back together after removing the power button, I removed it because it was damaged and then I used led to act as a solder to keep the phone in an 'ON' position. Only problem is that now, the phone says No Service always. Did I ruin something?

Also, I have Wifi so does that mean the antenna isn't damaged?

You might have messed up the SIM card assembly, try removing the SIM card, cleaning it's contacts, and reinserting it.

The WIFI antenna is in the upper part of the phone - the Cellular antenna is at the back of the dock connector assembly! They have nothing to do with each other.

I found a great tutorial on the net. Maybe it will help you!
