Removing/Replacing LCD Screen safely

To prevent some of the issues others have had, can anyone answer the following questions?

First, if using a hair dryer, what setting should that be operated at? It would be much cooler than the heat gun, right?

Second, the iFixit basic set comes with a small, clear suction cup. Would that be sufficient for this project, or does it require the stronger pull of the heavy-duty cups?

Finally, must I reapply adhesive to the case when replacing the glass? Does the original remain tacky and re-bond on assembly? If I need to reapply adhesive, where would I get the right kind?

Thanks! :)

ALWAYS replace the adhesive.

Regarding the Adhesive, what adhesive should I purchase, and from where. I cannot afford down time in the middle of the repair. The complete disassembly and reassembly should be completed in one session.

The guide and successful DIY's have used the large clamps.

The display glass sold here comes with strips (you may want to have one on hand incase you crack the old one getting it off) OR to live dangerously here's a source for just the adhesive.

Here is an a 2 part video guide on how to replace the LCD in the MacBook Pro 13" without disassembling the entire laptop and/or removing the top part of it from the laptop, click here for part 1 and click here for part 2. The process described in these videos simplifies the LCD replacement to a manageable level for most mechanically inclined people and lowers the risk of harming other parts of the laptop. The videos are very informative.

I would highly suggest replacing the double sided tape used to adhere the glass to the upper panel to properly secure the glass and prevent dust from getting between the glass and lcd in the future. I would also suggest using the heat gun and larger suction cups. Most techs break the glass on their first several attempts of this repair, so you may want to locate the glass from some place near you. Click here for a place to purchase the pre cut double sided tape/adhesive strips for the 13" MBP.
