Ps3 won't turn on after bending power supply pins

My ps3 ss was flickering on screen so someone suggested I open and clean it and apply thermal paste,that didn't work but I got a new problem. During the cleaning I accidentally bent the two power supply pins on the motherboard, I quickly straighten them back and closed it and it powered on. After playing for some few hours it went off. I checked everything again and now when you turn it on you hear one beep and it powers for like 4 seconds but if you hear 2 beeps it doesn't power at all. Could it be the bent pins or something else.

Please open it up again and check the pins. Please share a photo with us!

It does sound like it is having power issues, yes. But can also be something that Isn’t connected properly. Please check the connections as well.

I think the problem may actually be coming from the hdd side. I rechecked the pins and they seem to connect correctly so I decided to check the hdd on advice. When I removed it and cleaned it or blew some air into it and allowed the console to stay plugged in for a long time, after putting everything back and turning it on ,this time it stayed for more 10 seconds and everytime it goes off again I hear a sound like a fan shutting down sound in the hard drive. I put in a different hard drive from my laptop but still doesn't work. What do you think about that ?

Hi!

There are mechanical discs inside the harddrive. When it turns itself off (suddenly/incorrectly) then you do hear that the harddisk suddenly stopped while it was still spinning! This causes the sound. So the hard drive is fine. It’s either the power supply, the pins on the motherboard, component on the motherboard, or something that isn’t connected properly. Most of the time it’s the PSU which is broken…
