All USB-C ports functional, except for back left which only draws 5V

Curious to know if anyone can help me diagnose this issue. Three of the USB-C ports draw the correct voltage (around 20V) and can be used to power on and charge the device, but the back left USB-C port is only drawing 5V. I've replaced the USB-C board multiple times but the issue persists even with a new USB-C board installed, indicating a logic board issue. In my experience when there is a fault with the USB-C controller chips on the logic board it causes all the ports to draw 5V. Anybody have any recommendations or tips for diagnosing this issue? Thank you!

@zpl you have checked the port controllers and they checked out ok? Anything "weird" on the connector?

Nothing strange with the USB-C board as far as I can tell (and I've tried it with 2 new USB-C boards and got the same issue). I think this is a logic board issue, but I don't know where to start to diagnose which components on the board are faulty. Normally I would suspect the port controller chips, but I've never seen a situation where only one port is stuck at 5V but the other ports work fine and the system is able to boot. Thanks!

Pop off the port assembly to inspect the contact surfaces, try cleaning using a fresh pink pencil eraser otherwise you may need to replace it MacBook Pro Retina (A1706 & A1707 Late 2016-2017) USB-C Board

Replace one of the thunderbolt connector boards from the left or right side of your laptop. Görseli

Unfortunately the issue persists even with a brand new USB-C board installed (I've tried two new USB-C boards).

@zpl - Time to trace out the lines from the logic board connector to the port chip. You could have a break or cold solder joint also inspect the chip with a microscope as sometimes solder beads short things out. The 20V service is driven from the system to the charger. If you have a USB-C power meter in series with a charger you can see this on a healthy port.
