Brand new won't build pressure to shoot bb
I have a brand new Red Ryder BB gun that I just loaded and after caulking it it does not shoot BB's why is this

The red ryder is spring operated. And the cocking lever must be closed completely against the stock before the gun will shoot. Its a form of safety on the new ones to keep people from getting fingers cut by firing it with the lever no closed properly.
